The service and who may use it
By the Vine Wellness offers educational articles, an alcohol-content calculator, personal check-ins, a browser journal, and an optional paid cloud journal. It does not sell, ship, supply, or include wine or other alcohol.
You must be 21 or older to use the personal tools or create an account. Use the service only where doing so is lawful. These terms concern this product; other Actual Logic products have their own terms.
Education, reflection and health
The journal and tools provide general information and help organise what you choose to record. They do not diagnose a condition, provide treatment, determine a safe amount to drink, or replace a qualified health professional.
Alcohol carries health risks. A recorded pattern does not establish cause and effect, and a calculator result is not a blood-alcohol estimate or permission to drive, operate equipment, combine alcohol with medication, or drink.
Seek qualified medical advice about personal concerns, persistent sleep difficulties, medicines, or drinking. If you have been drinking heavily for a prolonged period, obtain medical advice before abruptly stopping or substantially reducing alcohol. This is not an emergency service.
Accounts and sign-in
Firebase provides account authentication, email verification, password recovery, and sign-in messages. Supply an email you control and protect your account and device. Verify your email before purchasing membership or using cloud journaling.
Account settings let you update your display name, sign out and request account deletion. Recent authentication is required for deletion. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account; contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
Free tools and paid membership
Articles, the calculator, and a browser journal are available without a paid membership. A membership adds an optional private cloud journal and access to its records across signed-in devices, including check-ins, reflections, intentions and saved stories.
Cloud storage starts when you choose to enable it. Existing records in a browser's separate device journal are not uploaded automatically. You may explicitly import your own records; fictional sample entries are excluded.
Reminders and notifications are not delivered in this release. A saved preference is not a promise that a message will be sent.
Price, renewal and payment
Membership costs $19 USD per month with no free trial. Payment is collected at the start of the subscription and the subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. Stripe shows the amount to be charged before you confirm payment.
Stripe hosts checkout and billing management. Your card number and security code are collected by Stripe, not by this website's account or journal forms. You authorise the recurring charges described at checkout when you complete the subscription.
If payment fails or a subscription is no longer active, new cloud syncing may stop. Your public reading and browser tools remain available. Membership access is determined by server-verified billing status.
Cancellation, refunds and account deletion
You can manage billing, view invoices, update payment details and cancel renewal through the Stripe portal linked from My account. A normal cancellation stops future renewal, with access continuing through the paid period shown in your account.
Account deletion is a different action: it removes your cloud journal and cancels the membership immediately. Export records before confirming deletion. Unused paid time is not automatically refunded; contact info@actuallogic.com with a billing concern or refund request. Rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected.
Canceling membership does not itself delete your existing journal. You can still view or export existing cloud records after membership ends, and can delete them or your account through the available controls.
Your records and control
Your entries remain yours. You give us permission to process and store them only as needed to deliver the features you use, protect the service and meet applicable obligations. Your journal is not a public community post.
Notes and sleep information are optional. Do not enter another person's private information without permission. You can edit records, export them, clear the journal, or delete your account.
Browser records and session caches depend on your device and browser storage. An account journal that has not been saved to the cloud may be lost when its browser session ends. Check sync status and export anything you need to keep. Conflicting device edits may require you to choose the version to retain.
Acceptable use and content
Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, evade account or billing controls, introduce malicious code, or use the tools to make safety-critical assessments of another person.
Actual Logic Inc. owns or licenses the site's design, code and editorial material. You may read and share article links and use limited quotations with attribution where permitted by law. Do not reproduce substantial portions or suggest endorsement without permission.
Source links lead to independent websites with their own terms. Generated photographs and labeled sample records are editorial and demonstration materials; they do not represent real member results or clinician endorsements.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, an error-free tool, a particular health outcome, or that any specific feature will remain available. Keep an export of records that matter to you.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available and without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses to the extent the law allows that limitation. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may address abuse, security incidents or unpaid access by restricting the affected account. Material changes to these interim terms or subscription pricing will be communicated before applying to an ongoing subscription where required.
